BARACK OBAMA IS THE PRESIDENT!

November 4, 2008

I know the Lord, he Heard my cry!!
We’ve Come this Far by Faith…. Leaning On the Lord, Trusting in His Holy Word… He Never Failed me Yet……. Oh, oh oh oh oh oh Can’t turn around we’ve come this Far by faith!
It’s been a long, long time comin but i know… change ‘gon come!

It’s been a long campain, there been blood, sweat, tears, racial slurs, sexism, mud slinging and fake attacks but it’s all over now. The whole world was watching this election and today We as a nation proved that we can be well rounded voters, proved that we can move past our differences and truly choose the best candidate. You’re too smart for the race baiting and fear tactics, you’re too savvy to vote based on just one issue! You’re too smart to be caught in the gimmicks! BE PROUD of yourselves!

I’m just holding back the tears. I went to my first Obama rally in March of 2007 and on that day I made my choice. I knew Barack was the person for the job. That rally had young white women, elderly white men, Latinos, blacks, asians etc. They all knew. And now the nation Knows. It’s been a long time Coming, but I know Change gon come…

Whether you voted for President Obama or not, it’s time to UNITE. Pray for our president elect.pray for his safety and wisdom, pray that God’s grace truely guides him. Pray for Sister Michelle that she and Barack can maintain the strong and loving marriage that they have. Pray for little Sascha and Malia, it’s hard to be a kid in the spotlight, much less in the White house. Those sweet little girls are going to be under so much scrutiny during those tough growing up years.

and Let’s pray for this nation!

HALLELUJAH!

Let’s pray for the Obama/Dunham Family

November 3, 2008
Sen. Obama is joyfully embraced by his grandparents at his college graduation

Sen. Obama is joyfully embraced by his grandparents at his college graduation

On the eve of this historic election, Madeline Dunham, the woman affectionately known as “Toot” passed away. She was a wife, a mother, and great-grandmother and most noteably the Grandma of Sen. Barack Obama. The woman the he said played an integral role in making him who he is today.

No matter how you feel about Barack Obama, Democrats, politics etc. it is sad to loose a family member particularly on the eve of such an important day. I want to extend my condolences to the Obama family. May Mrs. Dunham rest in peace and watch over the Obama family.

Remake of the Last Dragon?? Say what?

November 1, 2008

We need a little fun around here, so I’m going to tell you that there’s talk of remaking one of the greatest movies of the eighties. No not School Daze, Ghost, Purple Rain, or the Color Purple. There’s talk of remaking the LAST DRAGON!! with Samuel L. Jackson as the ultimate antagonist “Sho-Nuff!”

Message to Sarah Palin from the Young Women of America

November 1, 2008

I’m sooo GLAD that somebody made this video! Watch this!

There seems to be a major sense of “IGNORING” Sarah Palin’s record when it comes to issues that effect women. I’m not just talking about the whole pro-life vs. pro choice debate, I’m referring to an issue that could affect ANY woman of any age in every social class and culture and that is rape.
And watch this too

You can Vote However you like!!!

October 29, 2008

I’m so so so in love with the 5th graders from the Ron Clark Academy. They’ve taken TI’s “Whatever you Like”, changed the lyrics and made it applicable to the 2008 presidential election. The song is not only fun and cute it’s completely bi-partisan(which is mare than we can say for the stuff adults put into the media). Their teacher deserves a big fat raise for being filled with AWESOMENESS!! it takes a lot of work to get people involved in the politcal process. He’s found a way to teach the kids while making it fun for them. KUDOS!
BTW the Kids were on CNN too.

Florida Amendments! Find out all about it

October 24, 2008

Hey, hey folks!

With all the talk of absentee ballots and early voting, it’s election time. Folks aren’t waiting until the 4th of November and one of the major things that people are going to the polls to vote on will be the state amendments. You haven’t heard much about that have you? Didn’t think so. I’ll skip the conspiracy theory speech and encourage you to research, research, and research! The amendments are not about blue donkeys or red elephants; you don’t have to stick with party lines or any of that. You do have to vote on what you want to see implemented in YOUR state! So get active and really dig past the surface.

I’m a Floridian, so I’m going to summarize the amendments that will be on the Florida state ballot. Please note that there are 6 amendments on the ballot BUT they skip numbers. 5,7,9 were removed from the ballot by the Florida Supreme Court (for vague language)

J-Hud’s Mother and Brother found dead!

October 24, 2008

I have no witty comments for this. It’s just too sad

CHICAGO – The mother and brother of Jennifer Hudson were found shot dead Friday at a South Side home, and police were looking for a missing child who is the nephew of the singer and Oscar-winning actress.

“We can confirm that there is an ongoing investigation concerning the deaths of Jennifer Hudson’s mother, Darnell Donerson, and her brother, Jason Hudson,” Hudson’s personal publicist, Lisa Kasteler, said in a statement. “No further comment will be made and the family has asked that their privacy be respected at this difficult time.”

Police spokeswoman Monique Bond said the deaths appeared to be the result of domestic abuse.

Debate 3 Is done!!

October 15, 2008

Hallelujah! it’s over and now let the voting begin (Early voting that is)
I’m waiting for the Huff Post’s “body language analysis” although McCain’s calling Palin a “Breast of fresh Air” was the Feudian slip that told more than enough as to why he really picked Vice President “charge a rape victim.”

I’ve got a song for the McCain camp
