Celeb Divorce Al and Star

Oh my Poor Starlet! As we celebrate the marriages of Jay/Beyonce and Tia Mowry/ that actor guy she married, we must mourn the end of Kanye and Alexis and the newest cocoa colored celebs to call it quits Star Jones and Al Reynolds.
Apparently she filed for divorce last month and released this statement today
Several years ago I made an error in judgment by inviting the media into the most intimate area of my life. A month ago I filed for divorce. The dissolution of a marriage is a difficult time in anyone’s life that requires privacy with one’s thoughts. I have committed myself to handling this situation with dignity and grace and look forward to emerging from this period as a stronger and wiser woman.

I’m not going to lie and act like I don’t think she’s better off without him. But this has to be hard for Star. All of the job problems and backlash she’s faced in recent years has to be tough.
I hope she comes out from this better than ever!
Ona another note I know this must sting extra hard for someone to get divorced when they were so old getting married. Black Ladies of all ages! Let’s start ignoring these negative statictis about us being alone! It’s better to be alone than married to a closeted man ( gAl Reynolds) or stuck to some non committal loser, or dating some no-good for nothing just to say you have a man! Ladies if he drags you down, he should be a around. I mean that sincerely.

Star should have been more cautious. She was probably lonely, overweight and was in love with the idea of being with a younger man. Her love story was another “How Star got her groove back”
This is the kind of madness that makes me laugh. She let the thought of being in love carry her into the land of fools. When a man proposes, gives you a phat as hell ring, then QUITS his job with NO back up plan except to live off your money… That woulda been a red light for me. But what do I know?
I wish her luck, she gon need it.
