Dear Debra Lee,
I see you have a thing for open letters, well I do to.
Recently Teresa Wiltz wrote an article about BET in the Washington Post profiling of your head of “Entertainment” Reggie Hudlin’s demise from cutting edge skewering of BET founder with Aaron McGruder ( Creator of the Boondocks): to Hudlin’s current position at your network.
Apparently Teresa’s honest criticism of the network got your thong and booty shorts in a knot, (what? You don’t wear those? But the videos you air show that all of colored women were those!) because you felt the need to take time from your busy job of exploiting black people, to write a letter to the Washington Post defending your exploitation of Black people.

Happy Belated Mother’s Day to all the Sugar Mama’s reading this blog! I failed to post this yesterday because I was spending the day with my own Mommy and Grandmother (who asked me not to ‘write on that computer’ as part of her gift)
So this blog was intended to be a “one stop shop”; a voice for those of us who normally do not get a lot of media coverage on issues we care about, or are used to hearing about the news that effects us months later. Now as I constantly seek to carry out the goals of this blog, I spend a lot of time scouring the news, small town news, local news, entertainment news, big major news sources, etc. A lot of the time it’s not all good. There’s only so much you can read about the economy falling apart, the election, police shootings, beating, abuse, discrimination, rape, and all out ignorance before you really start to feel the weight.

Dang it Al!!! PLEASE get your “house” in order before you go out making a spectacle of yourself!
What am I talking about? Today it’s been announced that the good Rev. Sharpton owes about $1.5 MILLION in taxes and now his organization is being investigated (National Action Network or NAN).
He is definitely in Wesley Snipes territory with this mess.

The last time I read something this disturbing was the Dunbar Village case. In 2003 a young college student was kidnapped off the busy streets of New York, raped repeatedly tortured and beaten to death. She was bright, smart, dependable, conservative, shy and a good student. When she went missing, her mother practically begged NYPD to search, call a press conference, investigate, and look for the daughter. Instead she got this response.

Here’s a quote from Star Jones in light of Barbara Walter’s revelations on Oprah about her illicit interacial affair and Star’s surgery.
“It is a sad day when an icon like Barbara Walters, in the sunset of her life, is reduced to publicly branding herself as an adulterer, humiliating an innocent family with accounts of her illicit affair and speaking negatively against me all for the sake of selling a book … It speaks to her true character.”
Source
Well damn Starah! I don’t even have anything to add to that!
I would love to wag my finger of Shame at Star but I’d set it off too if my ex boss was digging up some mess to peddle her book during the middle of my divorce.

In case you missed it, a peaceful New York protest against the Sean Bell verdict has ended in arrest. Civil rights activist Al Sharpton has been arrested along with Nicole Paultre Bell (Fiancee/wife of Sean Bell) and about 190 other demonstrators were arrested for “civil disobedience.

So Nick and Mariah are coming out with wedding pics ( take note Jayonce) and talking about the surprise, bahamian ceremony and 6 week courtship(!), 6 weeks huh, It takes longer for a baby to be born. For some reason I really want things to work out for them, mainly because it’s nice to see people get married without being pregnant (maybe) but also, can we realy handle another Mariah Breakdown??

I recieved a text message telling me to Boycott Cee-Jay’s because of racism. I thought that was crazy because Cee-Jay is black but then I saw this in my inbox, from Thatswzup.com.

The Younger man in my life, Chirs Brown has been spotted at International Plaza Mall her in Tampa, probably buying some baubles for his not so secret girlfriend Rhihanna who’s in Town with Kanye’s Glow in the Dark Tour ( I got my ticket Woo!!) My source Says that Rhihanna was in MAC while Chris hung out at the Food court ( which are really close to each other), she also said that Chris was super nice and signed Autographs for any and everyone. ( AWW He’s cute and polite!)
On another note, pay $200, do not pass go.
Inga might be going back to jail. I guess she wasn’t praying for God to make her go to her hearing on time during those church photo-ops
