It’s been announced today that Singer, and daughter of legendary jazz vocalist Natalie Cole has been diagnosed with Hepatitis C.
Hepatitis C is a liver disease spread through contact with infected blood. The statement released today said that the disease was detected through a routine doctor’s visit and is most likely a result of her previous drug use.

I pray that Everything turns out alright. She is a woman who managed to triumph over her tragedy(her father’s death) and her mistakes( the drug use). Truly inspirational.
Just a little info about the disease-
The hepatitis C virus (HCV) is spread by blood-to-blood contact. No vaccine against hepatitis C is available. The symptoms of infection can be medically managed, and a proportion of patients can be cleared of the virus by a course of anti-viral medicines. Although early medical intervention is helpful, people with HCV infection can experience mild symptoms, and consequently do not seek treatment.[1] An estimated 150-200 million people worldwide are infected with hepatitis C.

Pamela Anderson has the disease as well.
My grandmother lost her battle with Hepatitis C earlier this year (she received it through a bad blood transfusion in the 80s). Natalie will definitely be in my prayers.
I hope she’s ok, I love that ladies voice…speaking of, does she have any new stuff out? anyone?
