Do you Remember the Dream of Dr. King?- the 40th anniversary of the death of MLK
April 3, 2008This Friday April 4th marks the 40th anniversary of the assassination of the Reverend Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. I want to urge you to spend the day reflecting on the work of Dr King, Malcolm X, Medgar Evers and others who sacrificed their lives and the safety of their families so that all people could truly be free in America. Now we need to ask ourselves if we a truly living the “Dream” of Dr. King? Black men are still being incarcerated at an alarming rate; we’re at the losing end of the gap when it comes to economics, education, marriage and black on black violence just won’t end. So are we living Dr. King’s dream? If the answer is no, what can we do to change that? What can WE DO to positively turn the tide in the Black Community????

Some guys are good men but just because he’s a good guy doesn’t make him the right good man you me (or you). So what is a good man?

March 17, 2008With the recent statistics about Young black girls and STDs it seems like sex in the Black community is on everyone’s mind. New Music- 16 At War
March 14, 2008I heard this song today on the radio. It’s called “16 at War by Karina Pasian. Really listen to the WORDS of this song!
If you know a young person, play this song for them and talk about the things that she sings about. If you’re a young person struggling to explain what’s going on in your life make your people listen to this song. It’s important to know how Teens and young folks are feeling so grown folks, shut up sometimes and really listen to what they have to say.

Without Walls Talks of Selling Properties
I am in no way trying to bash the members of this church or any church like it for that matter. As a Christian this high level of messiness truly disturbs my spirit, WE of all people should be the most professional orderly and LEGAL in all of our dealings. Read the rest of this entry ?
