June 7, 2008I’ll admit that I’ve been pretty M.I.A lately. I’ve been getting over a cold, catching up at work and just going through some things. So here’s some stuff we need to discuss.

This isn’t brown sugar news but I though it was soo stupid that I just had to share it.
Dunkin Donuts pulled an ad of Rachael Ray because some conservatives didn’t like her scarf!!! What’s obviously a paisley print black and white scarf wrapped around her neck apparently looks like an islamic head covering to the others (namely someone named Michelle Malkin)

After going to the “mountain top” and thoroughly enjoying the diversity and culture at the Barack Obama rally, I put myself on a political probation. I just wanted to feel good about my candidate and about race in the race for a few days. But lo and behold reality has smacked us in the face and race has veered its ugly head. Here’s a summary of what’s been going on, just in case you were hiding out for Memorial Day Weekend

I attended the Obama Rally in Tampa yesterday!!

Barack Obama is coming to Tampa this Week and I am in desperate need of a T-Shirt to wear for the event!
This is my second rally. I covered his first Tampa rally last year as a member of the press and it was a small yet amazing event.( I shook his hand) This one will be a whole lot larger!!
So I need a good t-shirt preferably fitted in a size small or medium. If anyone knows where to get one in T-town PLEASE let me know!!
UPDATE!!!!!
I Have a shirt!!
Special Thanks to Jarvis El-Amin!! Rally Tommorrow!!
Thanks to everyone with suggestions. I’ll order a new one for the November election

A Georgia bar owner is making headlines for selling a t-shirt that says “Obama in 08″, but it’s not the slogan that’s causing the controversy. The Phrase is underneath a picture of Curious George peeling a banana.

The last time I read something this disturbing was the Dunbar Village case. In 2003 a young college student was kidnapped off the busy streets of New York, raped repeatedly tortured and beaten to death. She was bright, smart, dependable, conservative, shy and a good student. When she went missing, her mother practically begged NYPD to search, call a press conference, investigate, and look for the daughter. Instead she got this response.

In case you missed it, a peaceful New York protest against the Sean Bell verdict has ended in arrest. Civil rights activist Al Sharpton has been arrested along with Nicole Paultre Bell (Fiancee/wife of Sean Bell) and about 190 other demonstrators were arrested for “civil disobedience.
