After going to the “mountain top” and thoroughly enjoying the diversity and culture at the Barack Obama rally, I put myself on a political probation. I just wanted to feel good about my candidate and about race in the race for a few days. But lo and behold reality has smacked us in the face and race has veered its ugly head. Here’s a summary of what’s been going on, just in case you were hiding out for Memorial Day Weekend

I usually try my best not to blog on the weekends, but this story truly hurt my heart. A woman in Nashville called 911 after her ex-Boyfriend came to her home wielding a knife.
I’m all for civil, mature discussions and debates but please refrain from the excessive use of profanity or name calling, let’s keep it mature. =) Racial slurs against ANY ethnicity will not be tolerated, your post will be deleted and you will have just wasted your time posting that nonsense on here!
I’m not sure who is or is not reading this blog, If you put your phone number or personal info on here who knows, your fave celebrity may see it and call you but he probably won’t. More realistically you’ve just exposed your contact info to thousands and possibly millions of other people; prank callers, harassers, pedophiles and who knows who else! So if you put your number on a comment I will take it down for your own safety.
If you have some news, a tip or some gossip that you think should be on the Brown Sugar Pages, please send in an e-mail. if your info is used you will receive credit (unless you ask to be anonymous of course)
You want to know about me??? Well I sing, often and I've been told I do it well, I love God, Family, friends (I love ya'll) and stillettos, quirky people, black history and MAC makeup, church, B.Scott youtube clips, great men, carnival food, babies, good weave and good drinks. I find joy in the most random things and l love really good comedians. I love language and questioning why we say what we say. I consider myself to be a critical consumer of the media and that's what led me to start this blog. I love to joke around and dance (yes even in church). If they were paying alot more I might consider being a teacher, but kids shoot now days so... never mind. overall I'm a lady, trying to be blessed so that I can bless others. that's a little bit about me. Enjoy my Blog!!
